Tawerna Dominikanska

Our tour group of 20 travellers had reservations here in September. The place looked great but the service and overall bad attitude of the wait staff was like nothing I've ever experienced. Our tour leader served the water herself because we couldn't break-up the BS session the staff was having at the bar. No smiles, no conversatio, barely an acknowledgement that we were there. A waitress did finally serve our food, the order for which had been called-in 2 hours before we arrived. The fish was average; but try getting a drink! |

WARNING !! This restaurant cheats people. They stole from us 670 euros. The bill was suppose to be 67 euros but they succeeded to charge us 670 euros. They didn“t admit it and never gave us our money back. We did go to police but they have managed to slip away. Personel was very unprofessional, they dropped plates and glasses all the time. Awful place. Stay away from there, there is so many lovely restaurants in Gdansk. This isn“t |

I recommend cruises on this river. You can quickly explore a large part of the city. |

I toured with my wife around Poland for a week and at the last evening (5.8.09) ate here before leaving the country. There is nothing good to say about this restaurant if you forget its nice decoration! It was the only restaurant within our trip that was really poor. First of all, service... Was there any? Our waitress was almost mute. Whether she was really silent or wasn't able to speak English. There was only a handful of customers but still we had to wait for our food for almost an hour! The food itself was the biggest disappointment. Our dishes were cold! My portion of veal was greatly over salted and had triple the amount of black pepper it should have. My wife's portion of veal on the other hand was totally tasteless. You would expect to have some culinary delights, since the prices are quite high in Polish standard. When I gave feedback to waitress all she did was shrug her shoulders! We will never visit this restaurant again and would recommend that to others as well. |
