In the „Village of Joy” ranking, in the category „the strangest, most unusual, weird and crazy building of the world”, the Crooked House in Sopot won the first place.
The House won with such famous buildings as The Torre Galatea Figueres in Spain, the Public Library in Kansas City in the United States or the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
This fabulous, fairy-like building was inspired by the cartoon drawings of Per Dahlberg and Jan Marcin Szancer as well as Antonio Gaudi.
The house is located at the town's main pedestraian street - ul. Bohaterow Monte Cassino, which is lined with restaurants, cafes and shops. Built in 2003, it now houses a shopping centre.
