Tricity beaches and watering places


Stogi beach (Gdansk)

One of the most beautiful beaches is Stogi beach in Gdansk. It offers modern sanitary facilities, lifeguard centre, two volleyball pitches, a slide with a poll for kids as well as numerous gastronomic outlets. You can get to the beach in about 30 minutes by tram no. 8 from the main railway station in Gdansk.

Jelitkowo beach (Gdansk)

The beach is an ideal place for those seeking peace and quiet. You can get to the beach with tram no 2, 6 and 8 as well as the bus no 143 and C. The beach offers all the necessary facilities, gastronomic outlets, pool for kids, amusement arcade etc.

Brzezno beach (Gdansk)

Apart from water and the sun, the Brzezno beach offers various music concert ogranized throughout the summer season. There are modern changing rooms and showers with fresh water. It offers also small and large slides, volleyball and football pitches and walking and cycling path running along the coast from Brzezno to Jelitkowo.
You can get to the beach with tram no 13 and 15 as well as with a bus no. 148.

Sopot beach and the pier

The main attraction of the beach in Sopot is the famous wooden pier. It is one of the longest wooden piers in Europe and a favourite place for both locals and tourists. Apart from the pier, the beach offers numerous attraction for kids, watersports rentals and an old fishing harbour.

Gdynia Srodmiescie beach


The beach is located in proximity to Gdynia city centre, close to Teart Muzyczny (Music Theatre) and Plac Unii Europejskiej (The European Union square). It features playground for kids, slides, springboard, fairground, pools, watersports rentals. Adjacent to the beach is the promenade lined with shops and gastronomic outlets.
You can get to the beach with bus no. 500.

Redlowo beach (Gdynia)

The beach is surrounded by craggy moraines. Adjacent to the beach is chidren’s playground. Buses no 500 from the main railway station and 104, 128 from the city centre.

Orlowska beach (Gdynia)

The beach features a pier and an amphitheatre. You can get there with bus no. 500 and tram no. 26.

Babie Doly (Gdynia)

This northern district of Gdynia boasts wide, partially pebbly beach. One of its attractions are high cliffs popular among paragliders. Close to the beach is another attaction – the remainings of an old German torpedo factory.

All the beaches in Tricity are lifeguarded throughout the bathing season from 9:30 to 17:30

Another seaside attraction in Tricity are catamaran rides. From Tricity you can take a catamaran ride to Hel peninsula and Jastarnia. The services run seven days a week from morning till late evening. You can take a bike on board (there is a cycling path between Hel and Jastarnia). The trip from Gdansk to Hel lasts almost 2 hours. You can buy the ticket in advance in ticket offices on the waterfront (Gdansk), by the pier (Sopot) and at Kilinskiego street and Jana Pawla Avenue (Gdynia).

Watersports

Tricity offers a wide selection of watersports rentals and clubs including diving, windsurfing, kitesurfing, water-skiing etc, where you can take a course or hire watersports equipment.
