Stara Wedzarnia ('Old Fish Smokehouse') Guest House is a friendly, family-run hotel housed in a newly renovated historic building on Sobieszewo Island in Gdansk. The hotel reception and dining room are housed in the carefully renovated interior of an old fish smokehouse, which is topped with original tall brick chimneys. Stara Wedzarnia is situated away from the city bustle and surrounded  by beautiful nature, however its location ensures quick connection to the city centre.

The hotel is located in a sunny garden beside the bank of the Vistula River, with magnificent view over water and meadows to the south and coastal pine forest to the north. From here, paths lead to the Baltic beaches across sandy dunes. The birds nature reserve Ptasi Raj (Birds' Paradise), only 300 meters away, is a haven for birds and other wildlife. It  takes only 12 minutes by car to reach the historic centre of Gdansk.
